Program Leader Tenterfield - Community Supports

 About the Role: 

As a Program Leader - Community Supports, you'll play a vital role in managing the day-to-day operations of our disability support programs. You'll oversee a dedicated team, ensuring that services are tailored to meet each individual's unique needs while adhering to NDIS regulations and industry standards.

 

This is a dynamic leadership role where you'll collaborate with internal teams, empower staff, and drive positive outcomes for participants.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and implement community support programs in line with participant goals and organisational objectives.
  • Support and mentor staff, ensuring ongoing development through coaching and training.
  • Manage resources and program schedules to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Advocate for participant rights and empower them to make informed decisions about their care.
  • Ensure compliance with NDIS standards, maintaining high-quality, ethical practices.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (HR, rostering, business support) and external partners to foster smooth operations.

 About You:

Essential:

  • Certificate III in Disability, Community Services, or a related field (and willingness to obtain) or at least 3 years of experience in Disability Services.
  • In-depth knowledge of the disability sector, including NDIS funding and compliance.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in coaching and mentoring teams.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in client management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Compassionate and committed to delivering person-centered care

Desirable:

  • Tertiary qualification in Social Science, Health or a related field.
  • Experience in setting up new services and managing multiple sites.

 Requirements:

  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence.
  • Current NSW Working with Children’s Check 
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check 
  • Current Police Check 
  • COVID-19 vaccination certificate.
