Supervised Contact Worker
Armidale and Tamworth - Casual Roles Available

About the Role:

 

We’re seeking a Supervised Contact Worker to support children and young people in foster care to safely connect with their families and significant others. You’ll facilitate family time sessions, provide mentoring in various settings, and maintain accurate records and reports.

 

This is a hands-on, rewarding role where you’ll strengthen family relationships while supporting children’s wellbeing and development.

Shifts are primarily between 6am and 6pm, across seven days, with flexibility for extended hours.

Duties:

 

  • Facilitate safe and meaningful family time sessions for children and young people

  • Mentor children and young people across a variety of settings

  • Build and maintain positive, respectful relationships with families and carers

  • Provide accurate written updates, reports, and case documentation

  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure consistent, high-quality support

  • Respond to complex situations with professionalism and sound judgment

 

 

Skills and Experience:

 

Essential:

 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Report writing and documentation skills, with confidence using software systems

  • Ability to work both independently and within a team

  • Flexible and adaptable, with willingness to work non-standard hours

  • Current NSW Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)

  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence

 

 Desirable:

 

  • Qualification in Human Services, Community Services (Certificate IV/Diploma), or related field

  • Previous experience working with children, young people, or families in care settings
