About The Role

 

As a member of a very dynamic team, you will facilitate safe and meaningful family time for children and young people in the Permanency Support Program (Out of Home Care) with their families and significant others. You will have the opportunity to also utilise your skills and knowledge to provide mentoring to children and young people in a variety of settings.  The provision of written updates and reports will also be required. You will have many opportunities for upskilling and professional development, as well as the guidance and assistance from a large supportive team.  

 

This is a rewarding role that will allow opportunities to strengthen family connections between children, young people and their families.

 Essential Criteria

  • Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with others.
  • Written communication skills, including the ability to write reports and complete formal documentation in relevant software programs.
  • Individual and team work. Ability to think quick on your feet and make informed decisions in complex situations.
  • Be flexible and work non-standard hours at times when required.
  • A current NSW Working with Children’s check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement).
  • Unencumbered Australian or NSW driver’s license.
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement).
  • Covid 19 Vaccination 

Desirable Criteria

  •  A qualification in Human Services, Certificate IV or Diploma in Community Services is highly desirable for this position, although not essential.
