 JOIN US - SHAPE LIVES - BUILD YOUR CAREER About the Role: As a Caseworker within Challenge Community Services’ Foster Care division, you will provide high-quality case management to children and young people living in Out of Home Care (OOHC). Reporting to the Manager Casework, you will work closely with children, foster carers, families and key stakeholders to ensure safety, stability and positive permanency outcomes. This role requires strong judgement, time management and the ability to work within legislative and contractual frameworks. Some after-hours work and participation in an on-call roster is required. Duties: Manage cases for children and young people in Foster Care Ensure safety, welfare and wellbeing in all decision-making Develop, implement and review case plans in line with legislation and standards Monitor placements and provide ongoing support to foster carers Facilitate case planning and review meetings Maintain accurate documentation and meet reporting and compliance requirements Support cultural planning and culturally responsive practice Liaise with DCJ/FACS and external service providers Participate in on-call and after-hours support as required
Skills and Experience: Essential: Case management experience in Human Services (OOHC, Disability, Aged Care, Nursing or similar) Strong analytical, written and interpersonal communication skills Ability to manage multiple cases, prioritise workloads and meet deadlines Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team High level organisational and computer literacy skills Empathy and commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people Current Working With Children Check and satisfactory criminal record Unencumbered driver’s licence, registered vehicle and insurance
